STARS

I am generally at a loss when I have to explain my work. It would be difficult to explain my fascination for making stars. I have always been attracted to traditional ornamentation from all places and periods. Most of my stars are nine side, but not all. Nine is a significant number for me as a Bahá'i. Also it is unusual to find nine sided stars in many traditional geometric patterns. It's like an adventure exploring the possibilities of combining geometric, floral, ornamental and color combinations. Sometimes it feels more like they were discovered than created.
